CANAWAY FLEMING ARCHITECTS
The construction of the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point requires significant support infrastructure enabling delivery of the facility in an efficient, cost effective, safe and secure manner. Working with the transport planning engineers, logistics consultants, contractors and operations teams within EDF Energy, Canaway Fleming Architects designed a suite of buildings and facilities across a number of strategic sites providing for; training, security screening and staff induction, welfare, delivery, storage and FM services.
Each building has been designed for speed of construction and removal while being robust and energy efficient. Designed as a family of buildings with a similar materials and form, the aim is to provide familiarity and legibility of facilities for the work force.
